Here's a demonstration of rock/metal lead playing. For this clip I've tried to include a range of different techniques typical to the style including alternate picking, legato, slides, string bends, sweep picking, tapping and economy picking all in B Dorian (my favourite mode)

Here's a demonstration of me improvising over a backing track using mostly Minor Pentatonic/Blues scales with some natural minor usage to create more interesting melodic phrases.

This is a demonstration of various techniques typically seen in a funk guitar style. Inspired by players such as Nile Rodgers, Prince, Al Mckay and David Williams.
